New Chicken Sausage Varieties at QFC!

by on Oct 1, 2010 in Isernio's

We’ve been busy in the R&D kitchen, and have developed some brand new flavors:

Chicken Merguez – Spicy Mediterranean-style sausage with flavors of chili peppers, paprika, garlic and coriander

Chicken Andouille – Cajun-style sausage with a kick from red pepper and garlic

Chicken Chorizo – Zesty Mexican-style with chili, cumin, garlic and vinegar

Chicken Parsley & Pecorino – Infused with shreds of imported Pecorino Romano

Some great bold new flavors and, like all of our other chicken sausage, these new varieties are all-natural and made from 95% lean skinless chicken.  They are available NOW at most QFC stores in the Northwest, sold by the pound in the meat service case.  Also look for Chicken Bratwurst and Chicken Apple sausage at QFC alongside these new flavors.

Here are some recipes we suggest:

Quick Collard Greens with Merguez Sausage

Shrimp, Chicken and Andouille Gumbo

Huevos Rancheros

Grilled Sausage & Vegetables (great for a mixed grill using ALL of these varieties)

We hope you’ll give them a try and let us know what you think!

    Hi,

I purchased the new Chicken Chorizo and Chicken Andouille Sausage at QFC, in Bellevue, this Saturday. Tonight, I cooked them and they were absolutely great. I sauted the sausage with shredded cabbage, onion, garlic, dill, salt and pepper. Your flavors and qualityof your sausages are better than anyone elses product. We have been buying you products for over 20 years now. Keep up the excellent work on your outstanding products! I often recommend Isernio’s Sausage to my friends and co-workers.

    Sincerely,

I just bought the parsley and pecerino sausage this weekend and I was hoping to find nutritional info on the website but I can’t seem to find it. I am on a special diet and I was wondering if you could tell me the calories for one sausage as well as the grams of fat, carbs, and protein. Thanks.

By the way, I recently tried your feta and spinach sausage for the first time (i have been a long time italian sausage eater) and it was AMAZING. I am looking forward to trying the new one. I have never been much of a meat eater, but your sausage makes it easier.

Hi Katie! Sorry you had trouble finding the nutritional info on the Parsley & Pecorino. We only sell that product at QFC right now so the nutritional info isn’t up on the website yet….but, I can tell you that each link has 130 calories, 5g fat, 0g carbs and 19g protein.
I hope that helps – please feel free to contact us if we can assist with anything else! info@isernio.com And thank you very much for your support! I’m glad you enjoyed the Spinach & Feta sausage too – it’s one of my personal favorites!
