Asian-Inspired Ground Chicken & Rice Bowls

Who doesn’t love chicken for dinner? Here is a take on combining some of your favorite Asian flavors and cooking them with ground chicken, fresh ginger, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve this easy-to-prepare (we are talking 15 minutes or less) dish over rice and your favorite green vegetable, and dinner is served.

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, breaking up the chicken as it cooks.
  2. Stir in garlic, onion, mushrooms, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha until onions have become translucent, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in water chestnuts and green onions, cooking until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. To serve, spoon chicken mixture over freshly steamed rice and serve alongside steamed broccoli. Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Enjoy!
